With more than four decades of experience, First Choice Buildings owner Nancy Heim knows residential construction from every angle, from planning to designing to building and beyond.

Nancy remodeled her first home in 1981, received her real estate license five years later, and got her broker’s license in 1994. She branched out on her own in 1996 when she started her real estate company, then earned her Minnesota contractor’s license in 1997. In 2006, she completed the Countryside Acres subdivision and, two years afterward, started First Choice Homes (the predecessor to First Choice Buildings).
Her extensive ownership and management experience means Nancy knows how to tackle a project and deliver results. Now, she’s eager to share everything she’s learned along the way to create the perfect residential building — for you.

First Choice Buildings works with Chris Kurth Construction, a local contracting crew, to frame, roof and side your new home or building. First Choice Buildings works with other local experienced subcontractors for excavating, concrete, gutters and stone to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, insulation, drywall, and painting. Trained and experienced craftsmen install all your interior products such as kitchen & bath cabinets, countertops, doors, trim and hardware to exacting standards.
